Thanks for the comment, Scott. It’s interesting to see how young and old alike are generally fascinated to see the mill working. It’s a great shared experience for parents and kids. And if you are lucky enough to meet the miller, he is a very interesting person to speak with.

Hi Pat,

This answer may surprise you, but the Village is pretty swamped with artifacts! Their collection includes over 50,000 items and I ‘m not sure how much room they have for more! Your are, of course, free to bring the griddle to Black Creek, but it might be a better idea to go to an antique dealer.

Hi Eric,

I’m a little off topic re clutter, but the word does apply when you’re moving into a small apartment.

I’d like to donate an old flat cast iron griddle to the Black Creek village. It has a 14″ diameter and a hinged 8 1/2 semi-circular handle. I don’t know its provence, but it certainly would have been used in Ontario’s pioneer homes.

Please let me know if you are interested in having this item, and if so, the best way to get it to you.
